Cumming Corp.

G|M recently completed a furniture installation project for Cumming Corp's San Diego office. Cumming Corp was outgrowing their old space, and with the move, they wanted to create a more modern, open and colorful space that inspired creativity and collaboration among all teams. This project includes workstations, collaboration areas, training rooms, break rooms, and conference rooms.

While developing the concept of space, the client wanted to create a space that had a "warm resimercial" feel to it - bringing a sense of modern comfort to employees, while also opening the door for creativity to flourish. The project includes several collaborative and huddle room areas intended to bring teams together in a variety of ways and encourage collaboration. The client also wanted to open up the work area, while still providing a degree of privacy to employees by keeping transparent panels on the workstations and integrating a Framery phone booth for private conversations. Natural lighting, plants and bright pops of color were woven throughout the floorplate to keep the space bright, energetic and fun. G|M's Account Executive, Cara Diederich, led the efforts on this project.

"My favorite part of this project was working with my client to select the different product and fabric options," said Diederich. "Every room was a blank slate, so we had a fun time brainstorming the objectives we wanted each room to accomplish in a unique way."
